Engine Oil Life Monitoring System
GM vehicles are equipped with an engine Oil Life Monitoring System. This system interprets your vehicle’s speed, engine temperature, personal driving habits, and continuously monitors operating conditions — which helps determine when it’s the appropriate time for an oil change.
If your vehicle is not equipped with an Oil Life Monitoring System, the typical interval recommended for oil changes is every 5000Km. If you have any questions, give us a call or consult the Service and Maintenance Schedule located in your vehicle Owner's Manual.**
Checking Your Oil Level
Contrary to popular belief, your Oil Life Monitor does not track Engine Oil Level so your Owner`s Manual recommends that you periodically check your oil between oil changes to ensure it`s at the optimal level. Stop into our Drive Thru between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday or 9am to 3:00pm on Saturday and we`d be happy to check your oil for you. You can also consult your Owner’s Manual for the proper procedure to check your oil level.**
