    Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Wins 2017 Reader’s Choice

    Sports Car of the Year Award Powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine cranking 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport starts from $66,445. Best of all, for true sports car enthusiasts, the Corvette Grand Sport can be had with a seven-speed manual transmission as it looks to best the Ford Shelby Cobra. It’s not quite a Corvette Z06, but the Grand Sport packs plenty of additional performance goods, placing it on a new level compared to the standard Corvette Stingray. Upgrades include wider fenders and rear quarter panels, stiffer springs, thicker sway bars and larger Brembo brakes. Redesigned last year, General Motors’ plug-in electric hybrid sedan has come far since its 2011 launch: The Volt can now travel 53 miles on battery power alone before its gasoline engine takes over, compared with the first model’s 35-mile range. Though the Volt is more expensive than Toyota’s competing hybrid plug-in, the Prius Prime travels only 25 miles using electricity before drawing from its gas tank. The Volt is powered by two electric motors and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.     2017 CHEVROLET BOLT EV WINS THE CANADIAN GREEN CAR AWARD AT THE GREEN LIVING SHOW The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV has just been awarded 2017 Canadian Green Car Award by a panel of 13 top Canadian automotive journalists at this year's Green Living Show in Toronto, receiving 11 of 13 first place votes.  Along with being the overall winner, Chevrolet won the Plug-in Hybrid category with the 2017 Volt and the Zero Emission category with the Bolt EV.  This is the second year in a row that Chevrolet has taken this award, with the Chevrolet Volt winning in 2016.  Having won the 2017 North American Car of the Year Award, 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year, and several others, it's not surprising that the Bolt EV continues to showcase the unparalleled innovation coming from Chevrolet.
